Has Arvind Kejriwal ‘bought’ Narendra Modi?

Standard

Why are ads for Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi party popping up every time you click on a story involving Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi? Is it mere coincidence, or has the AAP leader pulled off an online coup and bought the Google keyword Narendra Modi? We noticed that all stories involving Narendra Modi had one factor in common, apart of course from the fact that they were about the Gujarat Chief Minister. All the stories contained advertisements about the Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal, touting him as the “only hope” for a corruption free India. The tagline running through the ads was “One man, one party”. Interestingly, starting April this year, Google has allowed the use of rival trademarks as keywords in an ad campaign, allowing rivals to buy each others brand names for some ambush marketing. spoke to an AAP spokesman, who said that they were not aware of such a strategy, adding that their digital strategy and ad buying was outsourced to an advertising company. The advertising agency, AdFederal Media also told that they have NOT started contextual marketing and remarketing as yet. They said that the ads are most probably random postings by Google.
